| - Hands down, the best drinks in Cleveland. Nothing else needs to be said. Yes, they're $16 (unless you go during happy hour, then they're $10), and yes, it takes a minute, but if you're in a hurry to get a crappy drink go to Applebees. If you want an absolutely delicious, hand crafted from homemade ingredients, one-of-a-kind cocktail, then sit down, relax, and enjoy the live jazz music while you wait. We Clevelanders are incredibly lucky to have this gem in our midst. It can get a little crazy on the weekends, but there are few places as relaxing and laid back on the week nights.
Also, just as a point of reference for people who complain about the price, these drinks aren't easy to make on your own. I tried to buy the three ingredients needed to make one of their cocktails (the Widow's Kiss) and it was going to run me $130 for three bottles of liquor. One of their other drinks, the 9th Ward, requires an ingredient that you either have to make yourself or buy from the one distributor that sells it in the country. When you think about that, $16 isn't so bad.
The staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable. If you don't know what a certain ingredient is, they'll let you taste it beforehand. A word of warning: they don't tolerate rude people, so don't snap your fingers in anyone's face and expect it to go over well.
It's classy, relaxing, and delicious...you can't really ask for anything else. If you want to try something different, go for the Widow's Kiss, Ninth Ward, Cleveland Rose, or Last Word.
