| - Tom Colicchio, I LOVE you. I also really like your food. Will you marry me?
Hats off to Craftsteak in vegas. The food quality, top notch service, and understated simplicity of the place make it a great choice for a romantic dinner for two in Vegas.
My boyfriend and I ordered the special, limited edition Summer Tasting Menu, which was a prixe-fixe three-course steal at $60/person. We were served our first course- a fennel salad, cucumber salad, quail drumettes, and a bruschetta with creamiest, melt-in-your-mouth fresh mozzarella. The second course was scallops, two different types of steak with two deliciously mild sauces (i like my steak to taste like STEAK, not A-1, thanks!), mashed potatoes with chives, shiitake mushrooms, and our favorite...the fresh cut corn with brown butter. The chef's choice for dessert was a citrus/cherry cobbler with tangerine ice cream, and a molten chocolate cake with pistachio ice cream. The molten chocolate cake was to DIE for. Try it!
I only left off one star because we both thought two of the dishes were really, really salty. But really, no major complaints here.
The decor is modern industrial, with really cool elements of glass, steel, wood, and dim lighting. The painting hung in the back of the restaurant is gorgeous as well. Beautiful and intimate. Service can't be beat!
