This hidden gem (literally hidden because it is way to far up in the northeast) is on of the best parks Las Vegas has to offer. There was a lagoon where people fished, lots of green everywhere, and wildlife (birds) that I did not know existed in Las Vegas.
I went to the park for an event at one of the reservable picnic areas. My group reservued picnic area five which is located at the end of the road near a dead end. The picnic area had three large shelters and could easily make room for more than 100 people. The area is serviced by its own bathroom area that had eight single person bathrooms.
The only downside to this park is that all visitors must pay six dollars per car. This is a pretty minor thing, but it does stink when you arrive to the park excited for an event that your friend reserved at one of the picnic spaces only to learn you have to pay up; however, I'm certain the cost of upkeeping this park isn't cheap; and I thoroughly enjoyed my walk around the lagoon. It felt like I was no longer in the desert...which just might be worth the cost of admission.
