| - It's a pretty great simple gym, I took it down 1 star for 2 reasons.
#1 is no Wi-fi, in that building I'm lucky if I can get steady 3G for streaming my music/Netflix. I need to zone out when I'm on the treadmill and with 3G that is really hard to do.
#2 is that I'm noticing that the machines are sometimes missing the pin that you use to set the weight, or it's jammed in there and I can't move it to my needed weight. This has been the case quite a few times otherwise I would just ignore it. Some of the seats are torn on the equipment as well. Minor stuff, not a big issue for me.
The great thing about this gym, other than the price, is that it's pretty simple. Most of the machines have a diagram on them on what muscle groups they workout and how to use them, which is great for a beginner like me, who likes to try different things. The staff is really friendly and I've had no issues getting their attention as I need it.
They offer Zumba class for $3/class, which I plan to take advantage of in the future. The locker room, well the womens side, is always clean.
I will say this is a very male dominated gym, with the ratio at least 2 to 4 guys for every woman there, but so far all of them have been respectful of the women. It really feels like everyone is just there to get their workout and go home, not socialize like the bigger gyms.
I have been a member for about 2 months now and I am very happy with my choice. It's on my way home so I can go right after work, there's plenty of parking, and for the most part plenty of equipment. I'll be a member for quite awhile I'm sure.
