So we ended up doing the sunset tour a few weeks back which for anyone who hasn't done the tour is 15/16 hour round trip.
Our driver was excellent, so knowledgeable, friendly and incorporated the interests of everyone on the bus.
It pains me however to talk about the drive home in which it put all of us passengers on the bus that were awake and those that were woken up abruptly by the cat eyes on the road in severe danger. Our driver was either falling asleep on the drive in which the passenger in the front seat had to continue to speak to him to ensure he stayed awake.... Otherwise he was texting on the phone.
It was honestly the scariest drives I have had in my life and I have been trying to think who to blame here - a driver who was driving pretty much for 12 or more hours a day 4 days a week and if not entertaining the passengers walking around the canyon or a company who allows their staff to not enforce mandatory naps for their drivers - I don't know what the solution is here but honestly it's a scary thought if anyone I knew was getting on this bus - I don't think I would rest easy until they were safely returned
