Being from Nevada I love going to different towns in NV and exploring new stuff.
It is a nice break to get away from the city life and enjoy touring old mining towns and museums.
I was so glad we came upon Rhyolite after traveling through Death Valley. I am a sucker for ghost towns and old historic buildings.
There is a house made from bottles (it was restored and used in a few films) and and old train station and even an old bank where you can see where the original safe was. A lot of the buildings have deteriorated with age but that just makes them more beautiful!
There is a area with art scattered about and one is called "The Last Supper" which looks like a group of ghosts from a distance.
There is a huge "pink lady" who is naked. Yes, naked! It is a 25 foot cinder block woman dubbed "Lady of the Desert".
This is well worth the stop and is free.
