  • There's a classic line from Woody Allen's movie Annie Hall: "Two elderly women are at a Catskill mountain resort, and one of 'em says, "Boy, the food at this place is really terrible." The other one says, "Yeah, I know; and such small portions." " Well, our first visit proved to be the opposite: good food, and huge portions. The pad thai was big enough to feed 2, perhaps 3, people. And even a small pho was enough for 3 of us to share. The food was a bit spicier than we (Caucasians, sorry) were expecting. For example, our thai red curry was almost too spicy to eat even though it sports only one pepper on the menu. Lesson to us: ask for less spicy next time! My treat for dessert was the cold espresso coffee with condensed milk. It's delivered to your table in a drip espresso unit; you wait for the hot water to drip through, then add ice cubes and stir. Delicious and sweet.
