| - Where to start... How about the fact that they make their own mixers! Tonic water, ginger ale, sour mix, lemonade. Literally all made from scratch. And if that doesn't sell you, this will:
My man and I started with the cheese curds and baguette for apps. If you love cheese as much and my boyfriend and I do, then the curds are a do-not-miss. But the baguette? Oh man, it was insane. It came with a whole roasted garlic that had been stuffed with herbs and spices, and the roasting made the garlic spreadable almost like a butter. It was literally drool-worthy.
Next, he got the steak and I got the pork tenderloin and we both split the Mac & cheese. The seasoning on the steak was perfection, and the garlic mashed potatoes it came with were a perfect pairing. The Mac and cheese was pretty good. I'm a sucker for anything that includes prosciutto, but I'll admit they were a bit too runny for my taste. But the pork! Let me tell you about this pork! You could cut the thing with a butter knife. I know. I tried. It was the most unbelievably tender tenderloin I think I've ever had.
They ended the meal on a very high note... Instead of giving you boring, run-of-the-mill dinner mints, they excite your sweet tooth with a ball of cookie dough drizzled in chocolate. When I was looking through the pics on Yelp I thought this was a dessert option on the menu. Imagine my delight when these little balls of sugary heaven showed up on my plate FO' FREE!
I loved this place. The food, the atmosphere, the fact that it's in a house that was re-structured just for the restaurant. Everything about it I loved. Definitely a must-go if you're in the Phoenix area.
