| - My 3 friends and I are Vegas locals play every Sunday first thing in the AM all year round, no exceptions. We play around the Las Vegas valley but play this course at least once a month, sometimes more. The course is in great shape so no complaints there. My issue is with the policies and some of the people.
Let me start out by saying that I fully understand the cancelation policy. However, this past Sunday, one of my foursome, who has back problems, had to cancel when we got there due to the fact that it was cart path only for the front 9. He just can't walk that much. I told the starter and was informed that this was fine. Later that day after I left the course, I received an email stating that I was being charged for the cancellation fee??? Once again, I understand the cancellation policy but we were teeing off at 6:44 AM. There was hardly anyone there, it was cart path only. The course maybe should have appreciated the fact they received $165 from my threesome (and $220 the week before when we teed off in the cold & wind and were the only ones there). As much as I like the course, there are many other courses in Vegas that don't charge for a missing person as long as the group isn't a no-show and 2/3 of the group show up. When deciding where to play in the future, this experience most likely eliminates Rhodes Ranch from my choices.
