The guy's a lunatic. He spends more time yakking about what he's doing than actually doing the work. I'm a bit suspicious of him because he charges different prices is you have insurance or not. Then he submits the claim without you even knowing the amount. I think this is so he can charge more than he should because he figures the insurance company will pay the full amount. He got a shock when my insurance provider didn't pay it all. He charged me for 45 minutes of scale removal. How the hell is that when I was in the chair for barely an hour? See, he's overcharging for sure.
Now for the actual dental work, I'd say it was below average. His idea of scale removal is with this spinning/grinding tool. I'm not sure it actually gets rid of all the plaque. He doesn't really poke my teeth to see if there are any cavities or anything wrong. The polishing was mediocre. My teeth didn't feel all that clean when it was all over. I've certainly experienced better higher quality work than Dr. Jay. Next year I'll be looking for a new dentist. This visit has left a bad taste in my mouth.
