It was going to be my first time to this Dr's office. I had a 9am appt back in March and was told to arrive at 8:30am. That morning my son was very ill so I called the office at 8am - no answer and no voicemail to leave a message - I called again at 8:30am - still no answer and no voicemail - I then received a call a call a bit after 9am saying I had no showed and to call back to reschedule. I called shortly after and spoke to someone explaining that I had to cancel because of my son and had tried to call. They said they normally charge a $25 no show fee but would waive it because of my son's illness.
2 months later I receive a bill for a $25 no show charge. When I called to clear this up the office manager (or at least she said she was) repeatedly told me she had no record that I had talked to anyone. When I let her know I did she said that she would have been the only one to talk to and that she does not remember talking to me. I told her that I had in fact talked to someone so I'd like the fee to be waived. She put me on hold, then told me the office manager (which I thought she was?) would take a look at my account. I asked her if I should disregard the notice and she said "what do you mean?" I repeated myself and she again said "what are you saying?" I said.... so I don't have to pay that fee? And she said "that's for her to decide." I said I won't be returning so they should waive it and hung up.
So rude especially when I hadn't even had a chance to walk in their door yet. Hopefully they see this post and don't waste a stamp to send me another notice. I have no intention of paying and will absolutely never return.
