Came in here to check out their rooftop bar on a rainy afternoon with the hopes to move down for dinner. We were a group of 8 so I knew that it could have potentially been tough for us all to find a spot together, but despite the tight squeeze we all fit comfortably on 2 couches and some chairs, were well taken care of by our server and loved all the drinks we were served.
It would have been nice if they had a cocktail menu to help inspire us to order something, but it's not a big deal and maybe it's something they will incorporate in the future since we were there when it was still in a soft open.
What impressed me the most was the ambiance, we didn't have a view of the city I'm still a sucker for views from the top overlooking the GTA. The food we had at the rooftop was nothing to be blown away by but perfectly adequate.
The little snafu came when it was time for us to move down to the restaurant, we had told our server that we intended to dine there and she ensured us that a table was being set up for us to move down. But upon moving down, there was a miscommunication and we were given a spot that could have sat 5 comfortably with a very small low table. Definitely not ideal for dining for 9 of us. Space was at a premium down here and we knew immediately that food would be happening elsewhere.
But the staff realised the misunderstanding and gave us suggestions for what was good in the area. Being the yelper I am I of course looked them up too and confirmed that the hotel did indeed provide us with the best possible alternatives :) So full points for them to helping us not have a horrible evening after a great afternoon of rooftop drinking.
I would definitely recommend the spot with the best time to ensure that you have a good spot on the roof is coming in early! I will be back once this place is officially open and see how it's changed!
