The usual complants: the staff don't help you, they glare at you if you approach them with questions, it sucks putting together a bed on your own when you're in a new city with no friends yet, but all this I expected. What I didn't expect was IKEA to take a month to refund me my money after they picked up a mattress I returned. I tried it in the show room and it was decent but after I bought the vaccuum wrapped mattress, and opened it at home, I thought sleeping on my hardwood floor would be softer. So they agreed to pick it up for free if I bought a different mattress. I did, they dropped off my new one and picked up the first one, and that was that. A week later I called them to ask them where my refund was. Oh. They didn't think to do that. They agreed to refund me right away. A couple weeks later I called again and asked them where my refund was. Ooops. They put in on a gift card by accident and mailed it to me (Which was a lie because the gift card never arrived). So they said they would finally refund me my money. 10 days later I call them again. Where is my refund. They assured me it was being processed. I told them I had an appointment with my bank I would report them to my credit card company. The next day I saw my refund in my bank statement. The bed is decent and I got a good mattress. The products are okay, and good for the price. But hopefully you never need to deal with customer service because it will eat your soul.
