You get what you pay for. Tried a $70 Groupon for the Pasta Tasting Menu with wine which on paper seemed like a good deal. It was a cross between Olive Garden and Buca di Bepo. The Caesar salad was fine, but not inspiring. The three pastas were very, very basic. Only one, the linguini in a cream sauce had any hint of protein (small flecks of pancetta); it was OK and the only one we tried a small second helping of. The bow ties with a red sauce were not worth the time, and the ravioli with cheese were not worth the calories. The tiramisu for dessert was a tiny portion and also not impressive. The craziest was the wine to pick from their "$32 List." All basic "jug-type" wines which retail for about $8 a bottle....so over four times retail. The only thing that saved the evening from disaster were our server and busser. Both polite, helpful and friendly. So even with the Groupon, with tax and tip you're talking $95....The poor slobs who paid full price would get hit for $104 plus tax and tip...$135...yikes!!!!
