  • Hired Valley of the Sun Movers to unload my dad's U-Haul into a storage unit and his apartment. Went with these guys because of their great reviews. I was going to give more stars but my dad just called me and said that several items were broken in his storage. Heavy things were stacked incorrectly and they smashed irreplaceable mementos...all after he told them how to stack it. They are reasonably priced--$270 for the first 2 hours ($90 trip charge, $90 per hour with a 2 hour minimum for 3 guys). They were fast and only took 2 hours and 45 minutes. Upset though when I heard they literally told my dad that they were waiting for their "tip". I'm not sure on moving etiquette but I think it's tacky to ask for a tip. He felt bad after the guys told him how much they were getting paid so he paid $420 instead of the $360 he was supposed to. Won't be using this service again.
