My bride and I were married at the Mon Bel Ami Chapel the evening of February 17, 2018. I had made reservations for the ceremony ahead of that date. I arranged for the ceremony be done in the chapel that the officiant perform it in Spanish. There was a ceremony ahead of us that completed in time for us to start on time but the attendees lingered in the chapel for a good 30 minutes after the time our ceremony was to start. Finally we were told that our ceremony would be in the patio. I told them that was not what I had arranged for and I insisted it be conducted in the chapel. Eventually the other wedding party was dispersed and we were allowed to have our ceremony in the chapel. The officiant spoke no Spanish rather he read the script in Spanish. At one point I had to ask him what he had just asked because of his poor pronunciation of Spanish words. Disappointing! I guess I should have asked for an officiant that was a native Spanish speaker or at least spoke it as a second language. Had I known that the officiant spoke no Spanish I would have just had it done in English. Chapel was very nice. Nice place to get married but for the events as I explained. And I write this review for others that want to have the ceremony in Spanish that they insist on someone who is a native speaker rather than from a read script.
