This is our favourite place. Dalby Forest is a huge woodland area with walks, lake, streams, bike trails, a play areas, picnic area - in summer there are bbq's to use. The walks are wonderful it is a reasonable amount to pay to spend the whole day. Dogs are permitted and ours loves to run through the leaves at this time of year. There is a large eco friendly visitor building with gift shop. In December a 'green' santa visits and gives all visitors a small gift - he is a remarkably convincing Santa. There are rides on 'reindeer' (horses with antlers on head bands!) carriages through the forest which is lovely. Entry is £7 peak season and £4 November to March. There are also 2 cafes - reasonably priced and toilets. During December when they are selling Christmas trees entry is free. A great place.
