  • Anytime I go to Vegas this is always the last stop before I head home. Let me start by saying I rarely partake when it comes to alcohol, and I'm not much of a knowledgeable drinker at all. I don't know anything about wines (or beer, hard liquors, etc), and when I do buy them my choice is based first off the beauty of the label, then I will check the points, but I really don't know what I'm doing. With that being said, I love variety in all aspects of my life, and the selection here is unmatched. They have any kind of alcohol that you can imagine (blue wine, anyone?), but they also carry a great amount of cigars, tons of mixers, snacks, Sugarfina candies, and crazy stuff like wine boba (really). When I visited most recently I was helping my friend shop for wines for her wedding. She is picky, and every time she finally settled on a wine they didn't have a full case available (they offer case discounts). Richard was assisting us, and finally talked her into trying some of his recommendations (yes, they do tastings!). He quick-chilled a bottle for us, and of course she loved the first one she tried. While we waited, though, he got a feel for some of our other preferences, and had us try some other items: a whiskey and this coffee tequila (Senor Rio CafĂ© Elegancia) that was amazing. He didn't hesitate to tell us if he thought something was better than another product they carried, even if it was priced lower. He was super patient and helpful, and then when we had an issue with a possible unsealed bottle that we'd purchased he took it back immediately, no questions asked, and gave us a boxed version of the same liquor to guarantee it was sealed. He is clearly very passionate about what he does, and it was obvious not only in our interactions with him. We were there for a good hour and a half, and he excitedly shared suggestions and recommendations with every customer he encountered. Prices are often lower than what I find in Utah, otherwise they are average. For the ease and pleasantness of shopping here I would expect to pay a little more, if anything. Granted, this is not a fancy curated wine store. It's kind of like the Target version. Also, they will send you coupons if you sign up for their email list. If you're shopping for alcohol and have the option of going to Total Wine it should definitely be your first stop. At this particular location seek out Richard if you need any assistance.
