I have eaten here twice and it is now my favorite place to get a hot dog or Polish in the Valley! And the ONLY place I have seen sliders served at!
I have gotten a Polish sausage "Maxwell St style" twice now and both were excellent! The sausages were a little smaller than what most places serve in Chicago. What they lacked in size, they made up for in flavor!
The perfect charring, grilled onions, and Sport peppers with just the right amount of heat make the Polish my favorite of all the items on the menu.
But the sliders... they are amazing! Better than the sliders at White Castle hands down! I would say these remind me more of a mini burger than the sliders at White Castle. But that's not a bad thing! Actual sliders never really seemed like actual hamburgers to me. The sliders at the Chicago Hamburger Company are little, miniature burgers and they are really good! The fries are good too!
The gentleman who takes the orders must be the owner because you can tell he cares that every order is just right! And if you don't order a drink he offers a cup of water, which is classy in my opinion. Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference!
I have already told family and co-workers about this hidden gem on Indian School and 38th St. According to their signage, they've been open for over 40 years! They must be doing sumthin right!
