I like the Green Bean and I kinda don't like the Green Bean. Let me explain.
Set in Oakville's little square, the decor is cosy chic with out being too hipster/trendy/annoying. They had a faze where they would play African drum music, but said faze has ended. Food wise? So good! Apple and brie sandwiches! Rocky road dessert bars that taste like the opposite of gravel (thus very delicious)! Fancy pantsy coffees!
What upsets me is that their "lunch menu" - aka sandwiches and everything good that isn't dessert or a beverage - isn't available after 4:30 on weekdays. This is the worst. Sure I'll still go and have a chai tea latte and cookie, but COME ON GREEN BEAN! You're food is great. You are in Oakville thus- money wise you're set. You're in the square; the most convenient location ever. On weekends I could eat a sandwich at 5 pm so why must you disappoint me like this on weekdays.
So yes, I enjoy the Green Bean. It is more expensive, but as far as I'm concerned worth it. I just wish they would feed me when I felt like a sandwich. It really bugs me.
