  • I rented a car through Hotwire because I was in an accident. I did this for several weeks and only had a problem when the company selected after payment was Advantage. This was the first time I had heard of them or used them. I'm a local renter so I was only told at the desk and after paying that I was limited to 250 miles a day. It's not a huge deal but it would have been helpful to know up front as it could cause issues for others. I was given a minivan that had not been cleaned since the previous driver. It still had his rental agreement in it and smelled weird. There was also a huge scratch where the paint had been chipped off the front bumper and a mark on the back bumper. I had to drive back to the desk before leaving to make sure it was documented.
