I've been going to 'the cork' since I was the ripe age of 12. It was my fathers favorite place. I came here for the first time in years last week -- the decor hasn't changed one bit, the wait staff still wears reyn spooners and the martinis are still cold and dry. The steaks however are even better than they used to be, they are absolutely on par with the top houses. Don't expect a contemporary place, this is an absolute throwback to old school Scottsdale places. It is dark and they of course still have their salad bar with metal plates so cold you need gloves. Although the food is as good as any place around, the cork may not be for everyone. It was packed and I'm glad because if it ever closes (or remodels) it will be a sad day in Phoenix.
