I wish I didn't have to give even one star right now. I signed up for service with a salesperson inside of a Best Buy and was told my credit passed and there was no deposit. I was also told I'd be getting hbo for free for 3 months. I was also told my install was scheduled on a Monday. All of these things were lies. I had all kinds of charges on my first bill. They said I was being charged a $100 deposit because of my credit. Since when do they bill you for deposits anyway? They usually want it up front before letting you proceed with siging up for services. And no one bothered to show up that Monday. I waited at home like a ding dong for nothing. I called and asked wtf was going on and they said that my appointment was scheduled for Tuesday. I was pissed! I went back to the Best Buy I signed up for service at and the sales rep said his boss would credit me the first month's bill for all of the mistakes and bullshit. Well, I checked, and sure enough, there was no credit. All I've gotten is lies and b.s. from Cox. They go behind their third party sales reps and do conflicting things. It's really deceitful and quite frankly flat-out fraud. I cancelled all of the services today after just 3 days with them. Three days! Never again will I sign up for anything with Cox. I'm now looking into Prism or Direct tv.
Update: My cable was still on for 4 days after I told them to turn it off. This was even after I was given a confirmation number for the shut-off. I was told that my request "must have not went through". Cox is seriously the most ignorant ass company I've dealt with. To top it off, I was told I had a $43 balance. For 3 days of service? Lol. Fucking joke of a company.
