  • My friends rant and rave about the happy hour specials and the drinks here. Unfortunately the first time I was here was during Lent and I don't consume alcohol during this time so I was only there to eat. I'm not a big fan of the food so it took a while for me to come back. On a fine night when a friend was heartbroken, I figured why not give Modern Tiki a chance to mend his broken heart? It was a perfect idea. I called up a couple friends so we all came to Modern Tiki expecting a good time. We were greeted by "Thor" (a nickname my friend gave one of the servers because of his nice looking beard), who was very friendly and provided awesome service! I started out with the hurricane, ooooooh wheeeee it was some strong stuff! Next, I shared a Volcano (the taste was a bit tangy for me) and my friend's wife suggested I try The Itch because I get a backscratcher with it. Hey! why not? At that time, my mind was clouded with good conversations, great friends and delicious drinks. Towards the end of the night, I was not sure if my friend's heart felt better but I was sure the rest of us felt great! I am a believer that Modern Tiki will solve any problems I will have in the future. Thank you for a great time! Until we meet again =) Few words about the food: Burgers- bomb! Tacos-good and huge Sweet potato fries- on par Spicy edamame- yummy!!! Jerk chicken- on par
