  • I had met with Dr. Mohammed Akl in May to discuss having a full hysterectomy. He was very quick and all of my questions weren't answered. I scheduled the surgery for July 6th (which I wasn't really ready for) I went and has been a terrible recovery. Saw the Dr. briefly the next day but I was so groggy. I tried calling his office every day last week and my husband called once. You have to leave a message with an answering machine and they say they will get back to you in 24 hours. Yeah right. I called and spoke with the front desk on Friday of last week and they transferred me to the nurse. I told her Ive been calling & calling and she said to me (well, we're understaffed right now). Really? it's one week later. Still no call. I have questions and I started menopause which he told me to call if I have any menopausal symptoms and I did 6 times. I will be finding someone else to do my 6 week post op. I was recommended to him by a good doctor and I had never heard of a Urogynecologist so I trusted this man. I just hope someone else can do my post op. The two stars are for me getting out of the hospital alive. The nurses were wonderful there but they have nothing to do with him.
