| - I did a trial month here and was on the fence about whether or not it was worth signing up to continue. Luckily they made it easy for me to decide. The studio is nicely kept but I agree with people who feel there is a snobby air among the front desk and staff (minus the instructors). They never emailed me telling me when my month was up, so the only way I could know was to check the scheduling system and see that my first class was on Oct 5, so I assumed my month would end on Nov 5. I show up to the front desk all dressed and ready to go for class, rent a towel and then my log in gets denied. The girl tells me that the free month isn't actually a "month" it's "30 days" and so my trial actually expired the day before. I tell her that I've been sick for the last week in a half so I haven't even been in (which she could see from my records) so due to the misunderstanding can I just go today and then figure my membership out? And she tells me no I'd have to pay the $17 drop in fee! I couldn't believe it! It literally would have cost them no money or trouble to let me to attend that class. The only thing it cost them was a customer. That was a prime opportunity for customer service and they failed miserably. The studio is expensive and I feel the "peace and love vibe" is just a front to fill their pockets. The instructors are nice enough but don't do the class with you, they stand there dressed in yoga clothes, which is pretty ironic, shouting out poses and other yoga reflections. I've had some yoga training but not enough to get through a class of simply calling out moves. Or I know them but don't know if I'm doing them right. I learned more from watching other people than the instructors. I later found out they do a yoga basics workshop sometimes, but it's at very inconvenient times (just a Saturday in November and then January). Also, for the money you pay, you think they'd keep the cleaner and paper towels in the classroom stocked. Everyone wants to clean their mat after a sweaty yoga class, right? I had to bring my own cleaner. Another simple thing, but they don't have a trash can next to the cleaner bins, you have to carry your used paper towels, your mat and your other crap from the class and go out side to this trash can under this sink where everyone crowds around. I tried to nicely mention this suggestion to a girl cleaning the room one time and her reaction was like why are you even talking to me? Honestly I could have turned my heat on at home and watched a yoga video and learned more and had a better experience.
