If we are just talking food it's five stars all the way. Unfortunately service dragged it down one star. Here's the rundown...
Let's get the bad out-of-the-way first. While all of the servers and the manager smiled at us, the food took forever. Our soup came out right away, but then we must've waited an hour for dinner. Everybody was smiles and friendly, but nobody acknowledged the elephant in the room. The manager even came over to chat with us, he smiled weirdly at us and made uncomfortable forced small talk, but never apologized for the delay. Just weird.
OK now onto the five star part of the review. This is the best Thai food I have ever had in Charlotte! Definitely try the soup for two... We got the tom kha chicken coconut soup. It is served in this amazing bowl with a flame in the middle. It's a little bit more sour than the soup is in other places, but still delicious. And then I had one of the best pad Thais of my life. Here, they serve it with both shrimp and chicken, and the noodles were uniquely thin. i also like that they included a heap of other fresh vegetables besides bean sprouts...Carrots and cabbage. I just kept going back to it and back to it and back to it!
Insider tip: Parking on the street is pretty plentiful near there, and there is a parking garage right next-door.
