| - Let me collect my thoughts so I don't just go on a raging rant about what awful value this place is. I will frame this with the following: I brought my 2.5 year old here hoping that she'd have a blast. She's a very active child who loves playing with blocks and has lots of fun in various activity gyms.
First off, let's talk about the price. $22 for adults and $18 for kids. I don't know about you, but for that kind of money I have some expectations. Not unreasonably high expectations, but enough. First of all, when you pre-purchase tickets you'd expect a quick entry. In fact, I'd expect a bar code or something that they would scan and you're in. This place is brand new, wouldn't it make sense that they put in some of the latest technology? No instead you stand in a line at opening where the line for pre-purchase is longer than those who are buying tickets onsite. This defeats the entire point especially when they alternate between the two lines. When you go up to the counter they need to check your photo ID and print you tickets.
When you're in, you go through a demo of a fake "factory". Uhm..I was not impressed neither were most of the kids, especially after a restless wait at the door.
The initial laser ride I'm sure is fun for the older kids, but PLEASE PLEASE have a warning that the first ride is dark scary and can frighten and be inappropriate for a younger child. If I had known I would have saved by daughter and myself the trauma.
Ok here is where I go completely off the rail. When you get inside there is a 4D movie theater, lots of lego block to play with; however, there is an adventure gym and a carousel like ride. The minimum height is 90cm! The website tells you the height limit but you don't find out about the minimum height until you get there. This is ridiculous! So for a child with a normal height for a 2 year old who just paid all that money, you basically are missing a major part of the "fun" when you get inside. You try telling a kid why they can't go in when all other children are having a blast in there. There is only so much lego you can do!
If your kid is a bit older and a lego fan, maybe especially the classes would a reasonable thing to go to. Maybe. Those describing this as a McDonalds Playplace, I disagree. A 2 year old has fun at McD's Playplace, here they are told they are too short. We tried to spend a full 2 hours there, at 1.5, we were done. Spend the money on Lego playsets instead! I'll never come here again.
