The more sugar the better. I happen to live in DC, where cupcakeries are in abundance. Stopping by to sample Gigi's was a no brainer during my recent visit to Madison. The best things about this place are the various flavors and gorgeous decorations. As others have stated, there is way too much frosting (I love frosting...used to eat it straight out of the can). Biting into a cupcake, I found myself thinking about the cupcake shows on the Food Network channel, when the judges ask "Did you try your cupcake." Simply put: dry, stale, bland cake that is overwhelmed by a ridiculous amount - albeit tasty - of frosting. Suspect this place won't be in business long.
