| - If I hadn't been to Wawa, I'd give them 5 stars.
Nice, roomy, clean convenience store, gas prices in line with other gas stations and sometimes better.
We tried the 49 cent ice cream cones, and they are tasty, way bigger than McDonald's and less expensive, too. The ice cream cones are a win. You can order them through a touch screen at the back counter instead of having to make actual verbal contact or eye contact with another human being, so of course that's what I did. I think the guy behind the counter looked me in the eye to make sure I was paying attention and wasn't going to drop the cones when he handed them over, but that was it. I am fine with impersonal eating experiences, so I thought it was cool. There's an umbrella picnic table outside for those of us who like to take our food outside.
Oh, and I almost forgot, a while back I was digging around in my change purse, tossing bills all over the counter in search of exact change, when I lost track of I think it was a twenty. I forgot it was mine, and yes, I know that makes me sound like an idiot. Sometimes I am an idiot. So before I walked out without it, the young man at the cash register told me that was my twenty. He could have stolen it and I wouldn't have noticed, but he was too honest for that. Wow! That's nice to see.
