  • Had I written this review immediately after purchasing my car, I would have given five stars. The buying experience was overall a pleasing one; unfortunately, the after-purchase experience has been unsettling. Vincent was a nice salesman to work with through the test drive, overview, and negotiating, minus the fact that he delegated everything to his Sales Manager, who wasn't the nicest nor most honest person to work with. Negotiating my trade over several days really gave me an advantage and I felt like I received a very pleasing deal. However, when I went to actually purchase the car I was deferred to Sean due to Vincent receiving a new position. Sean was quick with the paperwork, but seemed to lack the knowledge to answer some of my questions during the purchase. One of those questions being with the Xzilon option, which is an option the day of purchase that provides the car with an extra coat of "molecular adhesion." This is when the buying experience heads south. Sean says that he receives no compensation for selling/not selling the Xzilon clear-coat, but suggests that it is a good option. He also specifically told my friend (who accompanied me during the purchase) and I that if anything happened to the car physically (dents, chips, scratches, etc.), even if it were me kicking the car, that Xzilon would repair the car free of charge. This seeming like a great option for a brand new car, I went with it. Bad idea; hind-sight really is 20-20. While the Xzilon itself may be a good idea, purchasing it through Sean was a bad one. I unfortunately received a small dent with holes in my rear bumper the next week from another car without my knowledge until it was too late to get their information. I looked at my Xzilon paperwork that I didn't receive until after purchase and it shows that it only covers for "environmental" defects. Hence, lie #1 for Sean. I took my car back into Keffer to speak with Sean about the dent and to show him the paperwork that did not match up with what he told us. He looked at my car and then looked at the paperwork and said he took 100% responsibility for being wrong on what he said. Commence, lie #2. He then leaves to speak with his manager about the matter, who later comes back with Sean to tell me that since the dent is in plastic, it is not covered and cannot be fixed. I told them that he specifically said any dent could be fixed and it was never stated that the material mattered. Sean then says that he said if I "kick the door" it could be fixed because it's metal. Lie #3. He becomes rude and asks me how I think they are supposed to take a dent out of plastic. They said they "could work with me on a price" to have it fixed. At this point, I wanted nothing more to do with this dealership and their lies. If you're looking to buy a car from Keffer, I do not recommend Sean and beware of what you're getting yourself into before signing anything. I'll just have to chalk it up to another lesson learned.
