| - Just You Sarah & Tom gets five stars just on the sweetness of the proprietors alone! I popped into this little shop on a whim while killing time before meeting a friend for dinner. This shop sells teeny cute tchotchkes of the Asian persuasion: cell phone charms, plushies, stationery, etc.
As soon as I walked in, the owner, Tom, welcomed me in and offered me a red-bean filled pastry from a box of goodies that he'd recently bought from the bakery next door. As I made my way through the aisles, trying to keep myself from buying one of everything, Tom showed me some of the supercute goodies that they'd just gotten in: little "pill" bottles that hid tiny message scrolls, and mini origami tape for folding into paper stars. When I finally chose my goodies and went to the cash register, Tom carefully wrapped everything in the cutest of gift wrap: ribbons, shiny foil, etc. Granted, I wasn't even buying any of that stuff for a gift, so the wrapping he did was totally unnecessary, but he was so excited about it that I didn't want to stop him. And then, when I took my goodies home, I realized that there's just something really lovely about taking home and unwrapping a present -- even if it's just one that you've bought for yourself, and something as ordinary as a pen and a cell phone charm. :)
Tom is super nice, very genuine, and seems to really enjoy what he does. He even bowed when I left the shop. Aww. :) His enthusiasm is super infectious -- I could only ever hope to have that same joy in my daily life!
