  • After what i dealt with today in office i will no longer be going back. Ever. I had a medication that needed to be filled and when i called to make my appointment i couldnt be seen til a week later. I asked the receptionist if i could get a refill for the X amount of days until the appointment and her response was "No." With no other explanation or hesitation. Once i explained to her that it was an anti depressant i was taking and that i couldnt not just go without cold turkey (you know for obvious reasons) she finally decided it would be okay to ask if getting that filled would be possible. It still came back as a no though. Okay fine. 2 days later i get a call from the same receptionist asking me "did i let you know that the doctor has the right to prescribe medicines? I was supposed to let you know that" Um... okay? The day before i get the confirmation call for a 1:30 appointment, i get there at my appointed time for them to tell me i was late and it was actually at 1:15. But they were able to see me so yay a win finally. I had to bring my children with me (as some single parents have to) and that bothered the MA. I was being rushed here and there (as expected because they now had to "fit me in") and that of course bothered my 3 year old so as i was trying to calm her down and explain what was happening she goes "well whenever YOURE ready i guess". We finally get to the room and she takes my BP and the conversation went as so... Her: your bp is high. Me: what was it? Her: *sigh* [insert numbers here]  but i mean you have all of THIS (pointing to my children) to deal with, so yeah. Me: okay, well can we take it again in a little bit? Her: i dont think its going to change. (As she glares at my children... again.) Maybe they should get their staff some better training on bedside manner. Maybe they should inform their employees that they are a FAMILY medical center and will be dealing with children from time to time. And maybe they should get better receptionist who actually can remember what conversations shes supposed to be having over the phone. Either way, i will not be back to find out.
