| - Mekong is one of my favourite places for dim sum in the valley. Any time I go for dim sum, or any time my friends want dim sum, we go to Mekong. The quality of their food here is quite good. We usually order shrimp dumplings, shumai dumplings, sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaf, egg tarts, and a variety of other yummy plates. I really like the fried taro dumplings and the daikon pancakes. Those are sometimes not available if you come too late.
I usually set dim sum time for 10:30 am. At that time, it's usually still early enough to get a table without much wait, the food is fresh, and the carts are full of options. By 11:00 am, the dining area starts to fill up and the line starts building. The kitchen sometimes gets behind around 11:00-11:30 though, as it seems that the carts stop coming by for a good 20 minutes or so. But, that means that you have time to stop eating, relax, catch up with everyone at the table, and drink some delicious tea. Speaking of which, I've stuck to either the green tea or chrysanthemum, but I recently tried the oolong, and it is fantastic!
