  • I sure do love me some nachos. I dragged my babygirl here for our first meal while visiting Las Vegas. While it may have not have lived up to the expectations my prejudgments had given it, Nacho Daddy has several endearing qualities. The food orders served here are all huge. Double check your appetite before ordering. The mountain of Vegan nachos we ordered filled me up for most of the day. At first their menu prices seem steep, ($15.99 for some nachos??) yet the amount they give you reflects the cost. Speaking of that mountain... I appreciate that they have several Vegan options here. I just don't feel that melting some Daiya onto tortilla chips is really "nachos" to me. Sure it had all the other toppings, including a pile of guacamole and a sausage type crumble. I just need my nachos to be "saucy". These weren't doing it for me. A for effort. D for execution. The Tex-Mex burrito while big in stature, was small on taste. It was pretty much filled with unseasoned rice. We took it back to the hotel with us, but never finished it. I'm not normally one to waste food, so that pretty much sums up this burrito. Any place that serves a gigantic plate of Vegan nachos is a friend of mine. The beer specials don't hurt their cause either. $10 for a 22oz bomber of Rogue Voodoo Donuts Pretzel Raspberry Stout was a steal considering you can't find it for less at most stores. I went with the Highwater Campfire Stout instead, which was also a pretty good deal. They also have plenty of beers on tap, and a whole page dedicated to various flavors of margaritas. While I didn't partake in the bottomless Bloody Mary bar for $16, they seem to pour the vodka using a heavy hand from the few cups I observed being filled. Perhaps their newer downtown Vegas location would be more convenient for you, yet don't pass up an opportunity to check out the original. Daddy Nacho knows how to pick his staff. Any of the ladies employed here could work down the street at Twin Peaks if they so desired. The bartender was very good at her job, interacting with customers and pouring drinks. Our server, Ashley was awesome. You can tell this isn't her only job in the customer service industry. Friendly, with a huge smile, she took care of us throughout our meal. The best service we received during our entire time in Vegas. Service: 6/5 Beer and booze: 4/5 Food: 2/5 So as you can see, come here for the drinks, drink specials, to watch sports on their many televisions, and most certainly come for the spectacular service. Just don't come expecting the food to blow you away. My babygirl says no bueno: http://www.yelp.com/biz/nacho-daddy-las-vegas-4?hrid=Z24_UXydkk6rO-9YlM-wsg
