| - I went to see We Will Rock You at the Panasonic Theatre last night. There are quite a few similar theatres along Yonge Street, such as Elgin Theatre and Canon Theatre - and even though if you are seeing a particular show you don't have a choice which theatre you get to go to, I think the comparison is still valid.
Panasonic theatre is definitely not as nice as Elgin or Canon, by a land slide. The stage area is rough and raw, and small. The seats in the theatre are somwhat comfortable - I say that because my butt did not hurt, but I'm not impressed with the layout of the seats. We sat in the orchestra level, near the back on the left. Though I could see, the angle of the seats weren't the greatest and if there was a tall person sitting in front of me, it would prove to be very challenging.
The armrest of our seat was broken and it looked like someone tried to remedy it by sticking a piece of chewing gum on the inside of the plastic (which kept sliding sideways). The bathrooms were cleanish, but there weren't enough. Before the show there was a line up, which multiplied threefold during the half show intermission. The lineups were so crazy long, I decided to hold in my pee until I got home!
We Will Rock You was a good show, I thoroughly enjoyed it despite not being too impressed with the theatre.
