Great park for hiking. They have about 6 hiking trails that consists of .75-2 miles long. In addition they have a couple of mixed horse/hiking trails. I've only gone on the trails along the lake, but they aren't usually crowded- even when they are busy. I always take my dog with me and let her run and play in the lake. There are plenty of shores along the trails. In addition to a lot of dogs at this park, there are a ton of fisherman. I can't tell you if they actually catch anything, but there is a small pier, although a lot of people will hike along the trail to find a good fishing spot instead.
On one of the trails (I think it's called Fairy Village) there are many man 'mini-houses'. They look like houses built for animals, but it's pretty entertaining to see. Maybe it was a Boy Scout project a while back? I'm not sure, but it's boarder line freaky and cool.
Overall this is a pretty quite park and great for a weekend visit.
