An orchard in the desert? WHA?!
This place has been bookmarked for years now and the other day was my first visit. I was devastated that I missed all the fun during fall. I saw on their website that they had special Christmas hours (4pm-8pm) for their holiday hayride and Santa meet & greet. Once we arrived, parking was easy to find across the street (white picket fence around a dirt lot). Admission was $2 for this event.
As we waited for the hayride, we went to the tent to pick up some delicious treats. You can smell the apple cider donuts the moment you get out of the car. As I type this, my mouth is watering for more. We also got a hot chocolate and a hot apple cider. The donuts and the hot cider were just PERFECT! Their prices are also very affordable. Which is a huge plus for families and large groups. I must go back to get a caramel apple or some popcorn.
The hayride was fantastic! It was a relaxing (and freezing cold!) ride through the orchard with all of the pretty Christmas lights and decorations. We rode it once, but you could of stayed on and rode the hayride the whole night if you really wanted. Didn't see Santa, but he would understand. I was too busy stuffing my face with these mini donuts.
If this place doesn't get you into the holiday spirit than I don't know what will.
...but those apple cider donuts though (insert a heart eye emoji here)!
those little donuts are what dreams are made of.
delicious dreams.
