| - Overview:
Came on a Saturday and in the morning it was not very crowded. It got really busy after lunch time. It is pricey but if you are looking to check this place out, I would assume you are attracted by the large space with numerous activites. It has four lanes of mini bowling, laser tag, rock climbing, ball pit, numerous super fast slides, trampoline, nail salon (was not clear how pricing etc worked), flying ball machine, automated merry go around swing, arcades (extra costs, card based, worked out to about $.75 per game when I asked), and foam pit for jumping. Bowling and trampoline requires special socks which cost $2.5(approx) each. No in and out priviledge unless you have membership. Cafe serves pizza($7.99 to $15?, subs $4.99, $8.99, hotdogs$3.99, salad).
What I liked:
- very spacious because of the high ceiling
- lots of variety of activities
- staff on site at different stations (laser tag, bowling, trampoline.. and in the morning at the playground slide area too)
- staff at the entrance to make sure kids don't just run out the gate. I liked that the staff gave a warm smile as we left which gave a pleasant feeling.
What I disliked / things they could improve on:
- washroom's sinks and change table are very high. Even with a stool, my five year old could not reach the soap dispenser. For a place with kids in mind, I wish they had thought to install kids sized sinks. I appreciated the toddler sized toilet. It is not very visible.. at the far end of washroom on the left. I wish it had some signage outside.
- i wish for more staff presence in the playground area, especially the ball pit. I saw some big kid with lollipop in hand jumping in. I also saw the ball pit being too crowded at times that it was dangerous. Big kids jump in while little ones are still inside. Some parents just don't remove their rowdy kids even when other parents speak up. I also saw kids with crackers in the playground area, leaving crumbs behind. When it gets crowded in the afternoon, they really need more staff to man the playground area. Otherwise, i think this place is going to get dirty very soon. Because at the end of the day, even with signs that say no food beyond this point, people will still do it if no one says anything.
- the management of the cafe was very disorganized. They use a number system to give you food for your order. When we showed up with our number, they couldn't remember what we had ordered. Menu needs to be clearer. Words like "Prices may vary for toppings on pizza" means more time spent explaining to each customer and longer line ups. No options stated under subs.. so i just dismissed it because I didn't want to spend extra time going through verbally what they have. Cafe definitely needs improvement. Either make it like costco's few option, FAST and economical service or more variety with excellent tastes at higher price marketed to satisfy the multicultural taste of the neighbourhood.
- disorganization at the ticket purchase... naturally you line up to pay for ticket, but only to be told when you are ready to pay to go to the computer to sign waiver instead... so that you can re line up to pay for ticket hahah.
- staff needs to be clear with the socks rules for trampoline and bowling. There needs to be consistency. There was some confusion and incomsistent information told to us by staff that our kids after going all morning were suddenly stopped from going in the afternoon.
- bowling with socks (even if they are grip socks) is a little dangerous. Imagine a ball dropping on a foot...
- beware about those fast slides and remind your kids to not get up too quickly until they have fully stopped otherwise, they roll and could hurt the neck
Overall, there are several points for safety concerns especially as it gets busy in the afternoon.
