Came here for the first time with my cousin to have dinner. The moment we walked in we were greeted by an older gentleman who sat us right away. The server came by, it was a woman with long brown hair. She took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu.
The atmosphere was great, except for the constant flickering of the track lighting (it was quite distracting). The server had a couple of other tables and for the most part did an okay job. She came by and we placed our order.
We got our calamari first, and honestly it was bad. I felt like I had ordered fish sticks that we're taken out of the microwave. I was so hungry that I ate a stick but my stomach could not bear another piece. We asked for a bread basket. When it arrived the so called vinegar and oil dip, was mainly oil and a penny size drop of vinegar. The food came out pretty quick, but I wish it hadn't. I got the penne Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. I could only take one bite. It was rubbery and tasted like sewer water.
I was so upset but I did not want to complain. I love family owned businesses because I know how hard it is to survive in such a tough industry. Although my server did not even ask why I did not touch my food. She came by gave us the bill and asked if I needed a box. She seemed so robotic and cold. I told her yes and we paid for our food. I was so disappointed that I even left my food there.
Thank God for the bread basket.
