Jacky sent me an email and we set up a massage appointment. I am so glad I gave this place a second chance; Jacky is amazing! He checked in with me throughout the appointment and asked how I was doing. Positioning was so much better, I was able to relax. Kudos for client-centred care! I would not hesitate to recommend Stepup to friends/family. Thank you Jacky!

I decided to try this place out because it is close to where I live, I had a lot of tension and some pain in my upper back/shoulders, there was a yelp deal (pay $10 for $20), and I couldn't get an appointment at Toronto Bodyworks.
My RMT was Quincey. She was perfectly pleasant and polite. However, I was quite uncomfortable during the massage because my breasts were squished down onto a very hard massage table. Most of the time, RMTs would place small pillows underneath my shoulder/upper chest so that they aren't so pressed down... I told Quincey this during the massage but all they had were full sized pillows. I asked for a blanket that could at least be rolled up and placed but she told me they didn't have any... I believe she tried her best but I still felt uncomfortable and therefore tense. She was responsive to my suggestions (increase in pressure) but I did not feel much better and it wasn't a relaxing experience (thin walls, loud noise outside). Her massage style may not have been a good fit for me (she's quite small, with smaller hands). When I had her increase pressure it felt more like a pinch so I stopped asking. She's probably a competent RMT but not what I needed.
Just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it wouldn't work for someone else.
Still gets a three star because it's in a convenient location and the prices are very reasonable (especially with the yelp deal!).
