  • I had a couple of infrared sauna treatments on a recent trip, but it was just enough to get my body to start detoxing, and I felt like crud. Uh-oh, a healing crisis. I knew I needed to support my body through it rather than just suffer, so I went looking for infrared sauna treatment places here in Vegas and found this place on Groupon. I signed up for a week package deal and did 7 more treatments. It got me over the "hump" of the healing crisis and into "healthy maintenance" territory (which I supported with a clean diet and mindful hydration all week). The result was...I feel GREAT right now. I feel more energetic, my boyfriend says my skin feels softer and several people this week have told me I have an "inner glow". Wow. Thank you Cure! As for the business itself, the staff were all very friendly, no matter who was working the front desk. The place is very clean, with a zen-like, non-distracting atmosphere. There are large flatscreen TVs in each room with sound piped in to the sauna box so you can watch or listen to what you want, but it's set to a sort of "soft zen" music channel by default and this was just fine for me; I found it very peaceful and relaxing. There are color changing LEDs in the sauna box you can select in case you want to incorporate some chromotherapy (personally I liked it, YMMV). They provide a cooling aromatherapy towel and a dry towel to wipe down afterward, which is very nice, but you will sweat so much you'll probably want to shower/rinse off at home soon afterward anyway. Tip: avoid using very chemical-laden soaps and shampoos because your skin pores may be more "open" and sensitive to absorbing them for a while after a session. I found it helpful to bring a change of loose clothing to put on post-sauna, because your body is still thoroughly heated to your core for a while. 40 minutes can be a long session if you're not used to it, even though infrared saunas operate at a slightly lower temperature range than regular saunas, but with regular visits my body started to become acclimated and produce a lot of deep sweat. I ranged between 135F - 145F during sessions, and though some days were more difficult than others to finish, I always felt good afterward. I also tried to stay mindful of my hydration both before & after sessions. They do provide a small bottle of water + electrolyte fizzy drink packet in each room, so you can re-hydrate and replenish what you lose from sweating at the end. They also have additional bottles of alkaline water for sale at the front desk in case you need more hydration. (I recommend it, especially here in the desert.) My only complaint is that they're so far from where I live. So I hope they do really well at this location, and build some additional franchises throughout the valley soon! LOL Overall grade: A++ would definitely visit again!
