Pretty solid joint for pork katsu.
I liked the pork and the shrimp both, and the "salad" has a good dressing, despite being nothing more than shredded cabbage.
The dinner plates come with miso soup and a couple Japanese pickles (pickled onions), too.
It's kinda fun to grind up your own sesame seeds for your custom sauce, but I don't think it makes much difference in the flavor.
At $13/plate, it's a pretty good deal, but I'd appreciate a lunch special that had less meat and maybe no soup for like $8?
The main drawback: with a menu focused on fried pork, with a couple extra sides, you have to really be wanting that to drive out of your way to Kiyoshi's.
