One star is generous. If you're looking for good bbq, go elsewhere. I'm a huge fan of brisket. I think it is the true high water mark of bbq. I ordered the brisket at this location. I'm not sure what came out.
I was given a half pound of mush, absolutely drenched in bbq sauce. Why put out bbq sauce if you're just gonna smother my order in it? Brisket should be served in slices and BBQ sauce should be applied by the customer. There was not one discernible slice. It was like when you leave shredded wheat in the milk too long. Between that, the gallon of sauce, and the tremendous amount of grease, it was like a bowl of nasty soup.
While AZ isn't known for BBQ quite yet, avoid this place if you get the urge. Rudy's kills this place any day of the week.
