  • Nathan Phillips Square is like a more useful Dundas Square. It has a ton of open space and a ton of events that take place here. In the summer you can celebrate Canada Day here, attend the Jazz Festival, or visit any of the other 300 events that happen here daily. If you are a tourist, you probably come here to have a picture taken in front of the massive Toronto sign in front of the fountain. For me, Saturday was Canada Day so of course we were here celebrating with everyone and enjoying the fireworks. This is a beautiful place to take pictures and also a good place to just sit down and relax (when fireworks are not going of). My main complaint is the lack of exits after events. Most of the sides have railings to block people so everyone has to exit from the front which is very time consuming and usually a huge cluster. Overall, this will continue to be a staple for my trips to Toronto as long as awesome events keep taking place.
