Been going to Pitt for 4 years and a week before graduation got the opportunity to try Peace, Love and Little Donuts.
It's a small shop between Fifth and Forbes and often neglected by many for not being in a popular location for students. But if you've ever walked by the area, and I have several dozen times, you've definitely smelt the aroma of the donuts. The menu isn't just "powdered donut" and "chocolate donut" like you'd find at chain coffee shops (although I'm sure the simpleton could get those here). They get funky with their donut ideas, starting each one with the basic donut.
I got the maple bacon donut and the chocolate chip cookie donut. They were both amazing. The donut itself would be enough, but to add the toppings adds a unique dimension. If you've never had bacon on a donut, I highly, highly suggest it. The chocolate chip cookie donut had chocolate fudge on it as well as chocolate chips.
The donuts are a bit small, but with so many variations and combinations it's a good thing so you can get a couple and try something new and different.
