  • Where to start with the tragedy of living in this tenement! Bait and switch! It is damp and moldy with no sunlight and it is loud. No insulation, we can actually hear the dogs nails walking on the floor above us. We can hear every word of conversations next door and above. Dog crap and piss everywhere and some lovely tenants that actually allow their dogs to piss on others doors! Summer has never smelled so good! Flies and wasp infestations even though fastidiously cloroxing everything daily. Saw the first cockroach of the season and I am sure they will love to set up shop with the sloppy one inch plus gap under the doors! Funny they did a "remodel" because the only thing I see remodeled is their pocket books. They think they can put some faux granite and a brushed metal light fixture in and that that makes any difference when the pipes are so old that even when we are not running water in our apartment we get burnt and frozen because of the old regulator and plumbing system. I love the dark stain they put on the cement floors that stains your feet black and all your rugs and children's toys, that's a classy touch. The "chiller" they call it, aka swamp cooler has to be turned on and off by management during summer months and the refused to inform us when they would be turning it on even though it was in the 90's and I have a one year old. The other thing is that you CAN'T set the temperature, it is either on or it is off and it is always damp and dank in here. My favorite touch is the shelf in the bedroom closet that is two inches off so that everything you put up there slides off like your in some fun house. The drains don't drain and there are huge cracks in the bathroom where the caulking has separated. Inept management, filthy expensive laundry room, so many dogs barking it is like living in a kennel! Another great amenity is the cigarette and weed smoke billowing in to your apartment. That always puts the luxury in luxury living. This place is a joke and breaks many building and safety codes. The "great remodel" and they couldn't even remove the asbestos ceilings, instead they will make you sign your health away with pages and pages stating that you are ok with possibly being poisoned to death by their substandard living conditions. I have lived in at least 15 apartments and this is the worst! Oh and a little added bonus?!! They never have the gates working, so the other day my friend went to take the trash out and a homeless man jumped out of the garbage bin. I hope this long but important review persuades you to look elsewhere!
