i love having relatives that live in vegas.... i get to enjoy the culinary treats that are off strip, delicious, and without the unnecessary fluff that comes with the territory of being on-strip.
pho saigon is no fuss, no muss delicious vietnamese food. i enjoyed the rolls and a vermicelli bowl with both pork and shrimp, although they were a little stingy with the shrimp portion of the dish. i was able to also sample my cuzzo's veggie tofu pho which was delicious and chock-full of vegetables.
it is rather expensive for vietnamese fare, but the portions are large (even when ordering a small). they have a lot of staff, and things come out quickly and hot!
a downside, my cuzzo ordered a thai iced tea with tapioca pearls, and the tapiocas were hard as rocks. they were accommodating though and offered to cook up another batch, but she declined.
