The best thing in HOMA. The owners are a lovely couple that bring in fresh and organic produce for incredibly affordable prices. They also make in-house meals that you can pick up and microwave at home/work. The place always smells delicious; coffee, spices, heaven. They have a pretty varied selection of meats, cheeses, veggies and even snacks while still respecting that small town market feel. Their lattes are delicious, made with santropol coffee beans... which you can also buy in bulk. These entrepreneurs are super eco friendly, even offering do-it-yourself non toxic soap refills, reusable and recyclable containers and go out of their way to support local products. They even carry artisanal beer and cider. At first I was wary- I tend to keep away from places vegetarian or organic. There seems to be a large percentage of ill-informed preachy people that give you angry speeches about what you should and shouldn't eat hanging around these joints... and that terrifies me more than my Italian grandparents going on about Jesus.
But not this place! They're friendly, kind, well informed about all their products and are just really great people trying to do something good for the community.
Try the home made butter chicken. It's to die for!
