  • HORRIBLE! I usually only post good reviews but am making a point to write this review of Sherwin Williams paint. We are having our entire house painted-exterior and interior by a professional paint company we found on Yelp. The painters noted on touch up that the paint touch up did not match. They then called the S-W rep to see if it's the paint or mixer, etc. Bottom line: S-W claims no responsibility inspite of the rep personally testing the paint on a piece of cardboard. He says the paint matches; it's clear the paint 'sheen'/flashing is different (see photos attached). First, the S-W rep- Eric G-walked into my house yesterday, unannounced (i.e., knock on door or ring doorbell as a courtesy) and didn't introduce himself until I approached him. Again, today, inspite of the front door being closed, he walks onto my property without ringing the doorbell or announcing his coming in until I approached him. He was very UNPROFESSIONAL in his communicating with me about the problem with the paint (basically didn't include me in his conversation with the painting supervisor - again, I am the HOMEOWNER paying for all this). The painting supervisor let me know the S-W rep would be coming, but PLEASE: be courteous and professional and KNOCK or RING the doorbell and announce you are here (the painters I hired have done this each morning). There was no excuse since all the painters were upstairs in the house and I was the only one downstairs. Second, it is obvious (again, see photos) that the paints don't match up with touch up, inspite of using the same bucket for the paint. I did some research (entire house is wrapped in plastic so I have time!), and S-W has had this problem in the past (it's called 'flashing' where the sheen doesn't match). Please check online for the numerous complaints regarding this same issue. I wish I would have checked the previous Yelp reviews for S-W (they're 1 1/2 stars) before requesting their paint for my home. I will now have to have entire house repainted using Dunn-Edwards.
